The Tribeca Rooftop: A Touch of Paris in New York:New York Wedding Photographers

Fiorenza & Jason are a gorgeous couple and a dynamic duo.  The bride could easily be at home on Broadway with her powerful voice and vivacious personality, which paired beautifully with Jason's sense of ease and sparkle.  For their wedding this couple choose classic New York venues with touches of Parisian elegance. The couple got ready at The Eventi in Chelsea; their suite decor of vintage prints and stage style lighting was a photographer's dream.  Fia looked divine in her Vera Wang gown with its layers of organza and delicate beading.  For the after party she donned a Marchesa gown from Mark Ingram Atelier.  Her bridesmaids wore Grecian style dresses in the palest shades of lavender and rose from Amsale.  New York florist Belle Fleur created soft, romantic bouquets to pair with lightness of the gowns. The groom wore a single gardenia boutonniere, very Cary Grant.     East Six Stationary crafted stunning letterpress invitations.  It was so lovely to be greeted by one of our favorite videographers Michael Simon.

The bridal party moved to St. Francis of Assisi Church on West 31st. for their ceremony.  After a beautiful ceremony the bride and groom excited the church with a fan fair of ribbons and the twinkle of bells stopping only for a brief kiss.  We just loved the fanned letterpress church programs that East Six designed.

For the reception the classic New York venue The Tribeca Rooftop with stunning views of the Hudson, Soho and downtown Manhattan.  Belle Fleur continues the soft romantic Parisian theme with soft candlelight and delicate roses with hand calligraphy place cards.  The wedding guests enjoyed entertainment by the soulful Jazz ensemble Arcadia managed by Li Paramount.  As a special treat a musical number performance by the bride and her uncle brought down the house.

Bonnet Island Estate~Love is a Shore Thing: Bonnet Island Estate Wedding Photographers

After a rough few weeks for many people on the shore who experienced heartbreaking devastation in their beloved towns it was so wonderful to go back to this day down the shore for the wedding of Amy & John.  This couples deep love of the natural beauty of their home state was something they wanted reflected in their simple, chic and elegant shore wedding.  They choose The Bonnet Island Estate in LBI for it's serenity and natural wildlife setting and enlisted local vendors like Michelle of MDS Floral Designs and Merri-Makers Catering to create their farm fresh NJ theme. Amy choose a silk charmeuse gown from Nicole Miller that caught the breezes.  She looked simply statuesque with a single orchid in her hair and simple pearl rope necklace and wedding bands by David Yurman. Her bridesmaids wore stunning vibrant blue dresses from Alfred Angelo from One Special Evening in Toms River with custom jewelry from Femmegems who they found on Etsy .  MDS Floral Designs created lush bouquets of soft blues and greens with white lace binding to echo the breeze and soft waves. The bridal party was greeted with gift bags with wine, cookies from The Jersey Cookie Girls and other local themed treats.  John chose a soft brown Michael Kors suit with tie by Burberry. He had his best man help with his custom vintage map cuff-links and they relaxed with thick pints of Guinness their favorite brew.

During the ceremony warm candlelight and simple starfish accents where set in the natural stone fireplace in Bonnet Island's rustic blue barn with soft green and blue wreaths of sea grass.  Guests were greeted with programs by E. Kendig Design and beautiful pashmina shawls "A layer of warmth in the Jersey breeze".   For the reception MDS Floral Designs created nosegays of white flowers and sea grasses bathed in candlelight with burlap table clothes and starfish accents.  Merri-Makers Catering went the extra step to create a beautiful menu that highlighted local meats, fish and New Jersey farm fresh vegetables. The Bake Works created a lovely tired cake with orchid accents.   The Chris Michaels Band kept the whole wedding party on the dance floor throughout the night.  It struck me how cared for this couple was, how many people where touched by this couples friendship.  The natural beauty of our landscape, what it has to offer and the love shown that day are wonderful reminders of the heart of the shore.

The Bonnet Island Estate: A Wedding in Marine Blue: Bonnet Island Wedding Photographers

Patricia & Patrick could not have been more fun!! They meet at a Notre Dame Commencement Ball two days before graduating and years later they both recall knowing that very night they would spend the rest of there lives together.

This high-energy duet had us smiling all throughout their gorgeous sunny day at The Bonnet Island Estate.  Patricia looked like a 1950's film star in her Oleg Cassini gown with her great blue shoes peaking out.  A classic beach necklace of freshwater pearls and sea glass hair combs for her and the girls by her friend Kathy Bixby of Bay Head completed the look.  The girls' deep marine blue dresses were crisp and classic paired with cheerful bouquets of yellow gerbera daisies by The Loft Florists.  Patrick and his buddies from the Marine Corps looked dashing in their dress blues.  His best man even gave ironing lessons to the ladies; apparently no one irons with more precision than a Marine!

The couple tied the knot at St. Catharine of Siena Church in Seaside Park before heading to The Bonnet Island Estate for a signature berry mojito and a stroll along the peaceful winding paths on the island.  For the ceremony The Loft Florists of Toms River created simple and happy arrangements of yellow that were paired with graphic 1950's style place cards.  The couple had two great cakes.  One cake was simple &  beautiful with blue ribbon and yellow rose accents. The other cake was an adorable manatee!  For entertainment band Jersey Joe kept this couple singing to each other & dancing all night!

"We met at Columbia Business School at a retail networking event at JCrew. I went for career opportunities - Darren went because JCrew was offering 15% off that night and he needed to stock up on t-shirts and boxers! We were in the same class at CBS but did not meet until that evening at JCrew."

Cait & Tom would be the life of any party.  These ultimate Bruce Springsteen fans are vibrant,  full of love, and brimming with humor.  Their wedding was a classic Bay Head event with it's Vineyard Vine Ties, great hats, and  fresh ocean breezes.  The bride wore her sister's wedding gown in memory of her and a veil from Barefoot Bride.    Her bridesmaids were her beautiful nieces who wore Coren Moore dresses in a great marine blue. Her maid of honor was a dear friend who introduce the couple with the help of Tom's sister.  Tom chose Brooks Brothers Suits & Vineyard Vine Ties for his groomsmen whom he's shared a lifelong friendship with. Tom asked his father to be his best man.  The couple arrived at  Sacred Heart Church in Bay Head to share their vows.  It's classic cedar shingles and crisp blue hydrangea where just charming.  After the ceremony the bridal party caught the boat from the  Bay Head Yacht Club for a grand entrance.  Kate Duffy of Katydid Signature Floral & Event Design created stunning classic hydrangea & green orchid arrangements for the reception with place cards named after famous Springsteen songs and soft candlelight glow. The Block & Blue Band kept these crazy dancers on the floor all night, stepping off only briefly for the mother of the bride to sing and dedicate a song to the couple.  The bride herself took a spin on the mike as guests crowded round.  What Cait didn't know is that the crowd prepared a special treat for her.  As Cait sang at many of their weddings her guests thought it would be a fitting surprise for everyone to take out their iphones and sing at the top of their lungs.  It was a ball!! Mendham Tented Outdoor Wedding: Annie & Joseph: New Jersey Wedding Photographers

Next up on our list of favorites from the past is the stunning outdoor tented wedding in Mendham New Jersey of Annie & Joseph.  These two love birds were life long acquaintances but didn't start dating until they began teaching at the same school about a year after collage.  Years later Joseph proposed to Annie on their last day of the school year.

On the wedding day Annie looked absolutely radiant in a Maggie Sottero gown with delicate beading and lace capped sleeves from Arlene's Bridal Shop.  Her veil and accessories where from Model Bride of Chatham.  Annie's sister Kristen Luciano is the owner of  House of Luciano an on location makeup service of Morristown.  So of course Annie's makeup was flawless!  The girls looked incredible in the most beautiful Nicole Miller gowns from Nicole Miller in Livingston NJ.  They were iridescent green with hints of hot pink paired with hot pink shoes.  That color palette was carried on by Crest Florist of East Hanover who choose bright fuchsia peonies, pink roses and green hydrangeas for the flowers.  The invitations by Catherine Kiff-Vozza, Couture Stationer of Sparta NJ had a delicate green scroll work patten & pink accents.

For the ceremony the bride choose Villa Walsh Academy in Morristown where she herself had been a student years ago.  The nuns who taught her watched on lovingly as the bride and groom exchanged there vows.

For the reception the bride choose her family home in Mendham which is a beautiful historic school house that they converted to a home with lush green grounds and a babbling brook.  Guests where greeted with place cards of delicate calligraphy by 24 Karat Designs of Newton NJ.  Arrangements of fuchsia peonies where placed in lime filled containers and green & pink favors made the tent vibrant as a gentle mist settled on the stream outside where guests were treated to celebratory cigars and cocktails.  Rosa Luca's Italian Bistro of Asbury Park created an amazing display of the finest ingredients. The Pink Cake Box of Denville made a true work of art with the multi layered cake covered in sugar flowers and Hoi Polloi of Randolf entertained the guests.

All in all a magical day!

The Bonnet Island Estate: The Wedding of Melissa & Rob

It's been wonderful reliving some of my favorite weddings through the years.  Melissa & Rob's wedding on the beautiful Bonnet Island Estate was full of love, laughter and joy.  Their engagement story was just magical! Rob led Melissa on a treasure hunt for clues around NYC.  Clues were left at their favorite breakfast place, the place they first met, and the restaurant were they had their first date.  The two finally met up at a restaurant and Rob greeted her with a bouquet of blue hydrangeas.  Melissa thought, "This is it we are going to get engaged!"  But Rob had more up his sleeve as he handed her a hand drawn map of NYC and the hunt continued.  The final clue led to Riverside Park the scene of their favorite painting and after looking under every bench for the final clue Rob got on one knee and proposed. They had originally wanted a NYC wedding but when they saw the boathouse chapel at The Bonnet Island Estate it reminded them so much of Martha's Vineyard, their first vacation spot, they knew it was the perfect place.  MDS Floral Designs used their wonderful story as the inspiration for their wedding day arrangements.  Lush hydrangeas, simple seashells and blue ribbon embellishments were just the right touch.  William Arthur fine stationary from Paper Peddler in Springfield NJ added to the feel with their crisp invites with a detail of the boathouse chapel.  For the save the dates the groom, a talented artist, recreated their treasure hunt.  The bride's father even built a mini version of the beloved boathouse chapel.  A Melissa Sweet gown for the bride and marine blue bridesmaids gowns by Alfred Angelo were perfect additions. Merri-Makers Caterers offered exquisite service for the reception and The Savoy Stompers from Elegant Ensembles were a perfect fit.
